Doll

Posted by: adorablesavage on: April 9, 2011

I’m sewing my first doll and it’s actually going well. The cloth is a really nice wheat color. I got the pattern from *babylondonstar (deviant art). I hope to start making my own pattern very soon. However you do that, lol. I’ve worked hard and I’ve had a few failures, but in the ‘world of plush’ it’s worth it; because in the end you have a beautiful finished product.

Purple Whale

Posted by: adorablesavage on: March 20, 2011

I decided to stop blogging and then I decided to start blogging again.Wow, hahaha. My first sewing project was a smiling purple whale.

face — :3 It took me about five hours to sew the entire thing. The stitching was pretty good and my doe suede for the dolls finally came in. The doe suede is not as durable as I thought it would be. It feels thin, but I think I could sew with it and create some nice dollies :D .

SUPPLIES

Posted by: adorablesavage on: January 20, 2011

Some of my supplies came in.

I ordered all my supplies from etsy.com; there are 20 pieces of felt (9”x12”), 3 yards of doe suede (a tan color and very light green brown), 20 needles and 22 pieces of colorful thread. *** The Doe Suede is on backorder and should take a few weeks to arrive.

At the moment I will work on sewing little felt plush, so I can work on hand stitching. I’m using a shrimp tempura pattern by Coconut-lane.deviantart.com/ and I’m trying to design a tampon pattern, for a keychain.

I just received MARTHA STEWART’S Encyclopedia of Sewing and Fabric Crafts in the mail and it looks great so far. It has so many simple patterns and tips to help you with sewing, I can’t wait to read through the whole thing.

Umm, Yea Funny Thing about That

Posted by: adorablesavage on: January 19, 2011

AdorableSavage is a blog that was originally about Kae’s (my) plush making experience. But with what happened in the last few days (which is nothing) I would love to make this blog about how I ecorporate the media into my art.

Or something like that -_-

Why Don’t You Love Me?

Posted by: adorablesavage on: January 19, 2011

‘Why Don’t You Love me’ STARRING Beyoncè Knowles is a great Vintage inspiration. I absolutely ADORE that video. I love the – the – the vintagness. I would love to draw, sew or compose something based off that video.

TO THE DRAWING MOBILE BATMAN!!! (tacky, yes sigh)

Another Great Song that’s a great inspiration —
